HHC Programs & Events

The Heartland Healthcare Coalition conducts four (4) general membership meetings a year that are
held in varying locations ….Morton, Peoria, and Bloomington/Normal. These luncheon meetings are
scheduled from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. so as to minimize disruptions from the normal work day. A
brief business meeting is followed by a presenter who addresses topics of interest to our members.

Our Annual Conference is held on the last Friday in April of each year. For 2011, it is scheduled for
Friday, April 29th and will be held at the Embassy Suites Hotel and Conference Center located in
East Peoria, IL. Our conference theme will be build around the “Accountable Care Organizations, Medical Homes, and Connectivity: The New Foundation for Healthcare Services?" As in the past,
we will have nationally recognized speakers presenting along with region representatives.

We also have smaller groups meeting every other month that focus on issues associated with a given community. Currently, the Bloomington/Normal Task Force Group is active with a breakfast meeting ( 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. ) during the months of January, March, May, July, October, and December. These meetings are held at the Illinois Wesleyan University Memorial Center Building.
